Description:
Rope handling is one of the most important skills for a rigger as it can directly affect speed, connection, tension, comfort, beauty, and precision. This class picks up where Rope Handling 1 leaves off, rather than focusing on large movements and concepts, this class will focus on improving finger and hand technique to improve tying, refining the use of some skills learned in Rope Handling 1, and introduce rope handling techniques and ideas for performance, aesthetics, and suspension. Skill level: Intermediate. Students should have taken Rope Handling 1 or have equivalent knowledge of broader rope handling concepts. Please bring rope and a partner (or find someone to tie in the class). Beginners are welcome to observe.
