Beginning Bondage Week (2 part series) with Sapphire
The Beginner Rope Track intends to offer an introduction to rope for all who are interested. No prior knowledge is necessary as this 2 part class will cover everything from equipment essentials over how to get started to basic ties and bondage safety. This series is designed to give anyone who attends the basic knowledge they need to attend any other beginner to intermediate rope class.

TES presents Bondage 0.1 : Before we start tying, with Sapphire

The first class will explore the different uses, functions and safety concerns of equipment commonly used in rope bondage. There are a myriad of different types of rope: treated or untreated, carabiners, webbing, rings etc. on the market and getting started with rope bondage can involve a sizable investment. Part of this class hopes to explain which type of equipment may be best for you personally and why.

Further, we will discuss a sensible approach to safety in rope bondage, analyzing what is and isn’t dangerous, which precautions are reasonable, and what expectations we should have of tops and bottoms. We will not only explore the risks inherent in certain types of equipment, but also human anatomy and what bottoms need to watch out for while doing bondage. No rope necessary.

Join us tomorrow, 2/2/16 for-

The second class will cover basic knots and hitches. Though many riggers and rope enthusiasts promise that one knot is better than the other, the fact of the matter is that knots, like rope, have personalities. Which personality is best suited for you is an individual decision. In this class we will cover three knots often used in rope bondage, and explore why some are better suited for certain situations than others. Please bring: One length of rope (ranging anywhere from 12 to 30ft)

Doors open at 7:00 pm – Meeting begins at 7:30 pm <<<
