Rope Bomb: Revived! “ Previously west rock rope bomb. ”

Welcome back to the much missed, woods rope bomb. We invite you to come hang/play/chill/relax/vibe out, etc deep in the ever mysterious wilderness to enjoy all the intricacies and beauty of rope!

Bring friends, bring partners,bring lovers, bring newcomers! Everyone is welcome.

For those who haven’t been to the previous rope bombs or don’t know what this is, it is essentially a ropey picnic in the woods.

As with the last time, we will be meeting in a public state park so discretion is key. Our meeting location will be off the beaten trail so as to not attract public eye. Detailed instructions will be given on what state park, what parking lot and how to reach our location. I will do my best to determine a location that will negate volume as being much of an issue. Keep in mind this may come with the caveat of hiking a bit more off the beaten trail. For those who have not hiked before, hiking boots or formidable sneakers, socks on the higher side and long pants will help aid against acquiring tick bites and poison ivy (I will attempt to blaze a path clear of poison oiled plants, ivy, sumac, oak)

Volunteers willing to help guide and assist people to the location from the parking lots would be much appreciated as I will only be able to lead one party at a time.

Photography is welcome as long as consent is requested. Music playlists are welcome, blankets, food and refreshments are welcome, and of course, please bring rope if you have some. Most, if not all of these will be provided to some degree.

I am hoping to have at least two suspension points up and available prior to the meeting time.

This is an open tie event, rope is welcome, impact tools welcome, other scening is welcome. Not exclusively rope, but definitely rope focused.

Currently, possible locations are West rock park in New Haven and the far side of Sleeping Giant in Hamden.

Please keep in mind to arrive in vanilla clothing, once the location is reached your state of dress or undress is up to your discretion. Nudity will be allowed. Please do not bring any alcoholic beverages.

How to get to the location:

The entrance to west rock ridge state park is 1134 Wintergreen Ave, New Haven, CT 06514 drive up “judges cave” by bearing right when you run into a fork, near the summit. There will be a loop where you can park. Parking anywhere here is permitted.

The location exists slightly off to the right of the green trail. I will be present near the “judges cave” area to assist people in arriving to the location.
