Ropes U is a monthly hands-on chautauqua of rope bondage; a place to learn and a place to present ideas and techniques for more enjoyable rope bondage.
The afternoon class gives way to an evening play party
Come to class, then stay and play or just come to the play party. RSVP is required to gain entry to either.

Guests who’ve been to Ropes U in the Past are on the list, and welcome to attend.

In this safe, respectful environment, we seeking to present, discover, discuss and demystify rope handling techniques, borrowing from the collective knowledge of those who come, both to learn and to teach.

The workshops are open to various levels of experience, accomodating the Neophyte as well as the Nawashi, and without bias to any gender or orientation. (Though douchebags will be heavily discriminated against.)

The RopesU Campus provides an inviting, fun, intimate, comfortable, environment to explore rope play. Equipped with miles of rope, 3 suspension points, and various bondage fixtures and furnishings.

The Agenda:

3;30 Doors Open: Check in, and hang out.

4:00 Demo begins at 4:00 SHARP!!!

4:30 Specific skills demo!

5:00 Open forum/Guest presenters, roundtable discussions.

6:00 Dinner break/ hang out. Guests may get stamped to go eat one of the nearby resturaunts, and then come back for the party.

Rope “feel” aka “rope empathy”:
– bondage for pleasure
– bondage for pain
– All participants may expect to tie, be tied, and self tie, or just observe as they wish– For science!!

Single and double limb ties
bondage for sex
Knots:
– decorative and functional
– Non-collapsable locking knots
– stable and secure quick releases
– those who tie quickly may impress, but those who untie quickly get more handjobs
-Suspension rigging tips for advanced Ropists to consider.
Improvisation with rope

Rope available:

Marcuslikesit strongly prefers tying with natural fiber ropes, such as hemp, Jute, linen, cotton etc.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own ropes if they have it, Marcuslikesit offers beautiful handspun jute or hemp for sale at 25$ per 25′ length and rope sets of 4 or more at $20 per rope.

Your Host

Marcuslikesit enjoys speaking about himself in the 3d person. He has been fascinated with bondage for over 30 years, raised in an isolated rural environment, and ever the intrepid outlier he began tying himself and others at a scandalously inappropriate age, in alarmingly unsafe ways, gaining hard knock wisdom in the process. It is a miracle that he and his childhood playmates reached adolescence which is when (fueled by boners and dripping lust) things got really sketchy… Thank the rope Deity for the birth of the internet, and for the wealth of knowledge therein (japanese rope porn), and for the the bdsm community at large. His tying is informed by active study as both a rope top and and as a rope bottom, and by gleaning techniques from the best (and worst) ropers available. There are no rope masters, only students.
